First Deliverable: Research boids algorithm. Figure out how to extend it to 3D. Figure out what animal to use... birds, bugs, cows, etc. Maybe create some simple("ugly") wireframe simulation to fine-tune the algorithm. Figure out if a pre-rendered Renderman video is best, or instead a GL rendered real-time interactive simulation. (fly around with the animals, choose their path, etc) Second Deliverable: Basic animation of the flocking animals Final deliverable: Finished animation of the flocking animals. Scenery, lighting, shadows. Moving camera capability. Path designation for the animals. Miscellaneous bells and whistles. Food, bombs, etc.
